A. CBD stands for Cannabidiol. CBD is a highly therapeutic compound extracted from the hemp plant, containing trace amounts of THC, therefore having no psychological effect. It is known for a wide variety of aliments anti – inflammatory, pain- relieving, anti-stress, etc.

Q. What is the difference between the CBD products at the dispensary vs. Nanabis?

Typically speaking (varies state to state) at the dispensary you will find a variation of products that contain higher levels of THC and lower levels of CBD which come from the marijuana plant vs. the hemp plant. Simple question you can ask – is this marijuana or hemp derived? At that point – you now understand that hemp HAS TO BE under .3% THC to be considered a hemp – based CBD product.

A. Legally we can’t tell you yes or no. Nanabis guarantees all product to ALWAYS be UNDER the federal and state regulation of 0.3% or LESS THC within our products. However, most of our products contain virtually 0% THC and are safe to use in a drug testing environment.

Q. Is Hemp legal in the United States?

A. Yes, under the revised Farm Bill of 2018 Industrial Hemp is now legal across 50 states. The FDA said some hemp ingredients, such as hulled hemp seeds, hemp seed protein and hemp seed oil, are safe in food and won’t require additional approvals.

Q. Is CBD legal in the United States?

A. Still a grey area, The Food and Drug Administration issued a statement saying that despite the new status of hemp, CBD is still considered a drug ingredient and remains illegal to add to food or health products without approval. However, most states have issued their own laws and approval for CBD products.
